The Ledger Letter: Warsh Won't Put a Dot on His Own Chart.
Wednesday’s decision is all but priced. What comes out at 2 p.m. is not.

Warsh Won’t Put a Dot on His Own Chart.

The Fed decides Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET. The market has the quarter point at roughly 85 to 87 against 13 to 15. That part is finished. The Summary of Economic Projections lands in the same release. Chair Kevin Warsh has declined to submit his own dot since taking office. The chart every desk will trade leaves out the person chairing the meeting.
The Breakdown
Today’s disagreement: the market has settled Wednesday’s rate and settled almost nothing about the year that follows it.
01
What Is Priced
The committee meets Tuesday and announces Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET. Futures carry the quarter point at roughly 85 to 87 against 13 to 15 hold. That would lift the target range from 3.50 to 3.75 percent up to 3.75 to 4.00, the first move of 2026.
02
What Is Not
October 28 sits near 60 after Friday’s inflation print. Deutsche Bank models two moves this year, taking the range to roughly 4.00 to 4.25. Bank of America models three, to 4.25 to 4.50. One decision, three different landing zones.
03
The Missing Dot
The Summary of Economic Projections comes out with the statement. Inside it is the dot plot, the anonymous chart of where each official thinks rates should go. Warsh has declined to submit his own dot since he took the chair.

Every now and again, a financial system becomes so corrupted, and so broken, that it has to go through a reset. Sometimes the reset is planned and pushed through by radical policy.
Other times, the forces behind it seem simply to arise.
It doesn’t happen often. In fact, it is extremely rare.
But when it does, the reset sends a shockwave through the entire financial system…
Revolutionizing the way people make, save, and spend their money.
More than 300 years ago, Britain experienced just such a reset.
The Royal Mint had a serious problem: a huge proportion of the currency in circulation was fake.
Counterfeiters were wreaking havoc. As many as one in every 10 coins was believed to be counterfeit.
Meanwhile, genuine silver coins were disappearing to Paris and Amsterdam, where they were melted down and sold as bullion.
Britain’s money had lost its integrity.
The Royal Mint urgently needed a visionary…
A man with the investigative instincts of Sherlock Holmes, and an unrivalled understanding of mathematics and metals.
The government turned to the brightest mind in Britain: Sir Isaac Newton.
The man who had brought order to the cosmos was now charged with bringing order to Britain’s money.
His changes were both radical and daring.
Newton oversaw the recall of Britain’s silver coins in what became known as the Great Recoinage.
He introduced new standards of accuracy and purity…
And helped set Britain on the path toward the gold standard.
He even created a network of spies and informants to hunt down the counterfeiters destroying confidence in Britain’s money.
He infiltrated their networks, gathered evidence against them, and secured their prosecution.
His reforms made Britain’s money work again.
“As a result of Newton’s vision, coins struck by The Royal Mint remain unrivalled in their accuracy and purity. He helped to make Britain’s currency one of the most respected and admired in the world.”
The Westminster Collection
Newton’s reforms restored trust and helped generate millions in new wealth. Money and merchants flowed into London because people once again trusted the coins produced by the Royal Mint.
The corrupted money was destroyed…
Allowing a new, trusted monetary system to take its place.
It became a historic turning point for Britain.
Newton’s reset was a response to a financial system that had stopped working for ordinary people.
I’m writing to you today because, more than three centuries later, my latest research suggests it’s happening again.
This time, the reset is taking place at the heart of the world’s most powerful currency: the U.S. Dollar.
President Trump is quietly rebuilding the monetary order beneath the U.S. dollar for the first time in 52 years.
It wasn’t put to a vote.
It has barely been discussed in Congress.
And most Americans have no idea what it could mean for their savings, investments, or cost of living.
But just as Newton’s reforms redirected wealth across Britain…
Trump’s New Dollar could redraw the financial map of America, creating extraordinary wealth for those positioned on the right side, while leaving millions trapped on the wrong one.
I believe a new reset is already underway, and I’d like to show you which assets could thrive, which could be left behind, and my #1 move to make today.

The Decision Is the Easy Part

What Wednesday Already Says

Six weeks ago this was a coin flip. Then came a jobs number. Then a producer price print. Then a hot core reading. Futures now carry the quarter point at roughly 85 to 87 against 13 to 15. A move that well priced stops being the trade. Everyone who wanted it owns it. The money sits in the sentence after the decision.

Why the Path Is Still Open

Look at how far apart the professionals sit. The market puts October near 60 against 40. That is the easy one. Deutsche Bank models two moves this year and a range around 4.00 to 4.25. Bank of America models three and a range of 4.25 to 4.50. That is half a percentage point on the cost of money by Christmas. Hold a mortgage quote, a variable line or a bond fund, and that spread matters more than Wednesday.

The Chart With a Hole in It

Here is the detail the weekend coverage skipped. The Summary of Economic Projections arrives with the statement, and inside it sits the dot plot. Each official marks where the rate should go. It is anonymous, and it runs years out. Desks read it like a vote count. It moves money. Kevin Warsh has declined to submit his own dot since taking the chair. So the chart is missing one participant. He runs the room and writes the statement.

The Level to Watch at 2:00 p.m.

Skip the headline. Go to the median dot for the end of 2026. One more move beyond Wednesday, and the October 60 is about right. The front end holds. Two more, and the curve reprices on the spot. Bank of America gets its call early. None, and Wednesday was one and done. Everything sold this month gets bought back by Friday. The line is the October contract at 60. Where it sits at 2:15 tells you which chart won.

The rate is decided. The path is a chart with the chairman’s square left blank.
